Overview

The TDA8932 Mono Class D Audio Amplifier is a efficient audio amplifier designed for performance in mono Bridge-Tied Load (BTL) configurations. It delivers a continuous output power of up to 30 W with an 8 Ω load at a supply voltage of 22 V. The amplifier operates within a wide voltage range of 10 V to 30 V (Limited to 30V due to board limitation), making it available for various audio applications.

With a typical efficiency of up to 93%, it minimizes heat dissipation, often eliminating the need for external heat sinks. Its low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD+N) of 0.5% at rated power output ensures quality audio reproduction. The amplifier supports a switching frequency of 320 kHz, adjustable between 300 kHz and 500 kHz for application flexibility.

Note

The TDA8932B is a highly efficient Class-D amplifier that can deliver up to 30 W of continuous output power in a mono full-bridge (BTL) configuration with an 8 Ω load.

But the amplifier modules utilizing the TDA8932B claim to achieve up to 35 W of output power. This increased performance is typically attained by operating the amplifier at higher supply voltages and implementing effective thermal management.

Always refer the datasheet when in doubt.
