Overview
The Raspberry Pi AI Camera, powered by a 12.3 MP Sony's IMX500 Intelligent Vision Sensor. This 12-megapixel camera module integrates on-device AI processing, eliminating the need for external accelerators.
By seamlessly capturing images and videos enriched with tensor metadata, the AI Camera frees up the host Raspberry Pi's processing power for other tasks. This innovative approach, supported by libraries like libcamera, Picamera2, and the rpicam-apps suite, empowers users of all levels to develop sophisticated AI vision applications.
Compatible with all Raspberry Pi computers while maintaining the familiar form factor of Camera Module 3, it accommodates the larger IMX500 sensor and optical subassembly.
