This tiny buck converter breakout is based on the TPS62827 from Texas Instruments and designed by Adafruit to efficiently deliver a fixed 3.3V output at up to 2A from input voltages up to 5.5V. It’s ideal for powering current-hungry 3.3V circuits from LiPo batteries, 3× alkaline cells, or USB power.
With 90–95% efficiency, it runs far cooler than linear regulators and is pin-compatible with LM1117-3.3V, making it an easy drop-in upgrade for existing designs. The onboard EN pin allows complete shutdown for power saving, while the 2.2 MHz switching frequency and 2 oz copper PCB ensure stable performance at up to 2A continuous current (≈3A peak).
A reliable, efficient power solution for portable and space-constrained 3.3V projects.
